"Shocking" Your New Jumping Jack Tent
Transforming from trailer to tent in less than five minutes, the Jumping Jack Tent Trailer is easy to use and perfect for outdoor adventures. The pop-up tent, made of heavy-duty marine canvas, is built to last and endure the adventures of the outdoors. For better performance of the tent materials, we suggest “shocking” the tent to tighten seams and material before use. The Jumping Jack Tents have about 2% shrinkage left in the material. If you “shock” the tent before use, it will keep the material tight and secure making it an exact fit to your trailer. The steps to “shocking” your tent are as follows:
Steps to “shocking” your tent
- Prior to use, set tent up with the windows and doors zipped closed.
- Thoroughly soak the tent with water from a hose.
- Let the tent completely air dry in the sun before take down and storage.
Always set up your tent and air dry after use and prior to storage. You should make checking your tent regularly part of your maintenance routine. Ensure that your tent is always completely dry before storage to avoid mildew and other damage.
