Zipper Maintenance

However, to maximize the life of your tent trailer, the zippers may need some additional maintenance. While taking your off-road camping trips, or hauling your ATV’s up the mountains, your trailer can become covered with dirt, dust, and mud. The vinyl coated polyester bag will help protect the tent and materials, but to maximize performance of all zippers, it’s a good idea to keep them extra clean and dirt free. Take time to wipe off the zippers, removing any dust and dirt. You may even want to dampen a rag with water to help wipe off the grime. However, do not use oils or lubricants as these will attract more dust to the zipper. Keeping the zippers clean will help extend the overall life of your tent trailer.

Having a little dirt, dust, and mud is all part of the outdoor, adventurous experience that comes with owning this tent trailer. Usually, the more mess you collect, the more fun you are having. Just don’t let that get in the way of maintaining and prolonging the life of the zippers.  Keep them clean!
